    1. Demographics are broken into bands depending on people jobs or status. It is usually used in marketing to classify gender, race, age, class and ethnicity. It is important to consider the demographic when producing a media product as you need to consider the demographic you are aiming to target and make it appealing to them. A client brief should inform you about the target audience so the client can make it appealing to that audience. For example, if a company are making an app aimed towards children from the age 8-12, the app should be easy and simple to access, which the client would have to consider during the development of the game during editing. As well as this, the colours embedded within it should be bright and colourful as it connotes happiness and joy as well as fun, which is what kids enjoy playing, therefore the client would also need to consider this during the planning of the game, in order for it to be successful and appeal to their demographic.
