1. Explain the client requirements of this brief, outlining which are explicit, implicit and open to interpretation.

Promotional video- explicit

Lat between 20 and 40 seconds- open for interpretation

Aimed at the audience of between the ages of 8 and 14- open for interpretation 

Ready for the launch of the new game in 5 weeks time- explicit 

Shots of footwear range- explicit 

A range of different camera angles, shots and movement- open for interpretation 

A minimum of 4 clips- explicit

3. What potential legal issues will need to be addressed? outline briefly the impact each one may have on the project and how they might be dealt with. 

Release form/permission- working with children-cant use the children without this legally, and this is the key to a project

Contracts- short working hours for children-unless these are signed, children cannot work at all, once working hours are agreed the rest of the project needs to work around this.

Location release form-public or private-if in a public area, council permission generally needed, if private than the owner must sign the release form. 

Copyright- copyright of music-rights must be requested for use in the advert, otherwise the advert may be pulled after release. 

4. Mind map exploring how the age of the target audience will impact the design or content of the video

May be reflected in colour genre, narrative and music

5.Identify 2 costs associated with filming the advert for x=zoo shoes and how these impact the project.

One cost is resources. You need adequate cameras to film the prod. This impacts product as it will be a high quality production , giving it an advantage in being successful. 

One other cost is music- they must pay for the rights to the music. 

8. Outline what type of research this is and how you could go about completing this research. 

Market research by setting up a focus group.

This is the lowest number made since 2006, according to the BFI. Domestic UK films Small to mid sized co production Hollywood studios  Big budget dramas are being diversified on Netflix, sky and BBC. UK film production companies to 'glossy dramas'  There has always been a lot of pressure on smaller films, as it is a tough end of the market where there are not many successes.  Although it is very challenging, it is even more difficult today due to big budget films doing so well as well as the pressure from high end TV.
