Client Briefs and SWOT analysis

 Briefs- A document/request outlining what needs to be produced-the requirements Types of briefs Formal A detailed document that is produced after a scheduled meeting between a client and a producer. Regulations and time constraints and deadlines will be outlined.  Advantage- Less margin for error Disadvantage- closed scope for personal interpretation.  Informal brief Normally a verbal agreement between the client and producer and no written document is required. Advantage- A little more open scope for your interpretation  Disadvantage- Could misinterpret what the producer wants Negotiated brief The client and producer work together to develop a brief for the project. Ethical issues Defining ethical issues in the media Ethics in media is about doing the right/moral thing. Something may be legally correct, but is it the right thing to do? Considering the ethical impact of a media product is important to ensure the product does not cause offence or bother those using/consuming it.  Legal issues Data protection act- If you collect data about individuals during the creation of a media product the the data protection act must be adhered or you could face a lawsuit.  Revenue streams What are they? How do we generate them? Amazon prime appeals to a mass audience as they offer a variety of different gadgets, toys, stationary, education supplies etc. this appeals to all different ages, as well as different people gaining different incomes,  as although some things are expensive, some are affordable.  The anti wrinkle cream advert, appeals to it's target audience as 35 year olds are invested in keeping themselves young and so they will want to buy cream that reduces wrinkles.  The video doorbell also appeals to the target audience as most 35 year olds have their own family homes and therefore like to have the latest gadgets to keep their home modern as well as appealing for their children.
